Proud to Care Devon is seeking a compassionate Community Care Worker to support individuals in their own homes within the Northam area. You will assist with daily activities, provide personal care, and help maintain wellbeing, dignity, and independence for service users.

You will deliver high-quality care, follow individual care plans, and document changes in condition. The role includes some evenings, weekends, and driving to client homes, with mixed shifts to fit the needs of the community.

Qualifications

  • Previous experience in patient care, senior care, or nursing is desirable
  • Knowledge of nursing home procedures and hospice care practices
  • Ability to perform heavy lifting and physical tasks as required
  • Proficiency in medication administration and adherence to medication schedules
  • Experience in dementia care and understanding of related challenges
  • Excellent communication skills and a caring attitude towards others
