Valley Care Derbyshire is seeking compassionate Community Care Workers to help people stay independent at home. You will provide person-centred care, assist with daily tasks, mobility, meals, medications, and companionship to support dignity and safety.

We offer full-time and part-time roles with training, mileage allowance, paid holidays, PPE, and opportunities for career progression in a supportive team. No prior experience required, training provided.

We have both full-time and part-time opportunities available and welcome people who want to join our supportive, family-focused team.

Typical Working Hours

• AM shifts: 8.00am/9.00am starts until approximately 2.00pm-3.00pm
• PM shifts: 3.00pm-10.00pm

Your Role

As a Care & Support Worker, you'll provide person-centred care and support that enables people to live safely, comfortably and independently in their own homes.

Your responsibilities may include:

• Providing personal care with dignity and respect
• Supporting people with mobility and the safe use of equipment
• Preparing meals and supporting with eating and drinking
• Prompting or administering medication
• Completing light household tasks, including cleaning, laundry and changing bedding
• Providing companionship and emotional support
• Encouraging independence and supporting people to access their local community
• Delivering compassionate end-of-life care where required
• Keeping accurate care records and reporting changes in wellbeing
