Job summary

The Methodist Church in Britain is advertising a Band 3 community care post. The role involves visiting patients in their homes and residential settings, delivering person-centred care, supporting independence, and performing basic wound and catheter care under the supervision of registered nurses.

Candidates should have Level 3 care qualifications (or Level 2 with Level 3 to be undertaken), and the Care Certificate must be achieved within 12 weeks.

Qualifications

• Level 3 care qualification or Level 2 with Level 3 to be undertaken on appointment.
• Care Certificate standards met within 12 weeks of starting employment.
• Experience of working with older adults in health or social care.

Responsibilities

• Visit patients independently in the community, providing person-centred care.
• Monitor and record observations.
• Carry out wound care and catheter care under the direction of registered nurses.
• Maintain accurate clinical records and contribute to care planning.
• Support health promotion and infection prevention.
