Halifax Opportunities Trust in Calderdale is seeking a motivated individual to lead the Calderdale Cancer Aware Project. You will manage paid and unpaid staff, work with adults from diverse backgrounds and partner with health professionals to raise cancer awareness.

This role focuses on empowering communities, removing barriers to screening, and promoting healthy lifestyles. Experience with community settings and a full UK driving licence are required.

Competenze

• Experience of managing paid and unpaid staff.
• Experience of working with adults from diverse backgrounds.
• Knowledge of the impact of different types of cancers on a person’s health.
• A genuine interest in working with vulnerable people.
• Level 2 Literacy.
• Experience of working within a community setting and/or with people from disadvantaged groups.
• A full UK driving licence and use of car for work.

• Oversee the Calderdale Cancer Aware Project and ensure successful delivery.
• Develop and facilitate community initiatives to educate on cancer signs and screening.
