Job summary

Aspire Recruitment is seeking an Engagement-focused Employment Specialist for a role across the Wirral. You will support individuals with disabilities or health-related conditions to move into sustained work, delivering tailored assistance and building confidence in a community setting.

You will manage your own caseload, conduct assessments, and help clients overcome barriers to employment, with a strong emphasis on outcomes and client empowerment.

Qualifications

• Experience as Employment Advisor, Employment Coach, Job Coach, Careers Advisor or Recruitment Consultant.
• Experience managing a caseload and supporting individuals into employment.
• Strong understanding of barriers to employment and how to overcome them.
• Experience carrying out assessments and developing personalised support plans.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage a caseload of participants and provide face‑to‑face support in the local community.
• Conduct in‑depth assessments of skills, experience and barriers to employment.
• Create personalised action plans to move customers toward sustainable work.
• Refer participants to training, workshops, mentoring and other employability services.
• Set and review SMART goals to track progress and engagement.
• Provide ongoing coaching, motivation and job search support.
• Maintain accurate records of customer interactions and outcomes.
