Job description

Join Playstack - Where indie games break through!

At Playstack, we believe in the power of creative vision — and in the people behind it. From breakout hits like Balatro, Abiotic Factor, and Mortal Shell, to critically acclaimed gems like The Case of the Golden Idol, we champion originality and innovation in every title we publish.

With several major releases coming in the next 12 months, there’s never been a better time to join our journey. We’re proud of what we’ve achieved, and even more excited about what’s next.

Who You Are

  • You are a passionate PC/Console gamer who feels right at home in online communities and across social platforms.
  • You are a natural communicator with creativity, empathy, and a sharp sense of what resonates with players.
  • You’re proactive and organised — someone who takes pride in delivering thoughtful, high-quality work.
  • You have at least 3 years of experience in a social media or community role in the games industry.
  • Ideally, you are based within a commutable distance from our London, Soho office and are happy to attend twice a week.

What You’ll Be Doing

As our Community & Social Media Manager, you’ll be the voice (and ears!) of Playstack across platforms — helping us build positive, vibrant player communities and meaningful connections around the games we publish.

Your Day-to-day Will Include

  • Executing the social media and community strategy for the Playstack titles, with an overall objective of increasing awareness, growing player communities, and their engagement
  • Collecting players' feedback and online reviews to assist with delivering detailed reports
  • Scouting and encouraging UGC, fan art, and creator content
  • Assisting with player replies, moderator team onboarding, and small-scale community events such as AMAs, giveaways, or contests
  • Coordinating advocacy programs, including volunteer moderator onboarding, and small activations: polls, shout-outs, spotlights, etc

What You’ll Bring

  • An up-to-date understanding of current social media culture and trends, as well as the difference in language, audience, and content among different platforms. You’ll be able to speak fluently to audiences across Bluesky / X / Reddit and more, in the appropriate tones and formats
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to juggle multiple priorities with care
  • A collaborative mindset and a proactive, hands-on approach

What We Offer

At Playstack, we foster career growth, collaboration, creativity, and pushing the boundaries of what’s possible in indie games.

  • Cycle to work scheme
  • Fully stocked London office
  • 22 days of holidays (excluding bank holidays) + 3 days of EOY studio closure.
