This is a fantastic opportunity to play a key role in transforming how the Communications team engages with residents, customers, and stakeholders across digital and traditional channels.

What You'll Do:

Lead high-impact internal and external campaigns that inform, inspire, and empower. Tasks include:

• Designing and delivering strategic communications campaigns
• Managing media relations and acting as a spokesperson
• Creating engaging content for web, social media, print, and video
• Supporting internal communications and change programmes
• Collaborating with partners on joint campaigns
• Providing crisis communication support when needed

They are looking for communicators who are:

• Skilled in campaign planning and content creation
• Confident working with media, stakeholders, and senior leaders
• Digitally savvy with a flair for storytelling
• Organised, adaptable, and collaborative

Experience and Qualifications:

Essential:

• Proven track record in communications, PR, journalism, or digital media
• Strong writing and editing skills across multiple platforms
• Understanding of communications evaluation and digital tools

Desirable:

• Local government or public sector experience
• Familiarity with AI tools and emerging digital platforms

Qualifications:

• Degree in communications, journalism, marketing, PR, or equivalent experience
