Job summary

North East Museums seeks a creative marketing and PR professional to join the busy Communications team. You will oversee all aspects of marketing and PR for Northumberland venues, including Woodhorn Museum and Hexham Old Gaol, developing communications plans and coordinating media, online promotion, print and events.

The role requires experience in communications/PR, copywriting skills, and familiarity with social media, CMS, and e-communications to meet tight deadlines and budgets.

Qualifications

• Experience in communications, public relations or media is essential.
• You must be able to write, edit and proof copy, and work to tight deadlines and budgets.
• Familiar with digital marketing including social media, CMS, and e-communications.

Responsibilities

• Develop communications plans for assigned venues and will include working with the media, online promotion, print and event organisation.
