Job Description and Person Specification
If you love finding a great story, have a way with words and an eye for detail, this brand-new role in our Marketing & Communications team could be for you.
This isn't a role where you simply wait for content to land in your inbox. You'll be out there finding the stories, achievements and opportunities that showcase what makes North Devon College special, turning them into engaging news, publications and communications that connect with our audiences.
You’ll take day-to-day ownership of our news, student and parent/carer communications and key College publications - researching, writing, editing and delivering content that is clear, accurate and engaging. You’ll also help shape how we communicate important College news, events and achievements, ensuring the right messages reach the right people at the right time.
One day you might be interviewing a student about their success; the next, writing a press release, producing a parent email, managing a course guide from brief to print, or coordinating communications for a major College event.
We're looking for someone with excellent copywriting and editorial skills, a sharp eye for detail and the ability to turn information into compelling content. You'll be confident adapting your writing for different audiences and channels, proofreading to a high standard and managing publications and communications projects from start to finish.
Most importantly, you'll take ownership. You'll build relationships across the College, proactively uncover great stories, challenge and improve briefs, coordinate colleagues and suppliers, and keep projects moving. You'll understand what we're trying to achieve, who we need to reach and how
