This position is eligible for a Remote Work Arrangement.
In accordance with UVic policies, the selection will be limited to members of designated groups. Candidates are encouraged to self-identify. Candidates may need to complete the Indigenous Citizenship Declaration (ICD) process.
Mandate: Reporting to the IACE Executive Director, the Communications Officer leads communication initiatives for student programming and IACE projects, working closely with University Communications and Marketing to promote IACE branding and guidelines.
Objectives: Develop and implement communication and marketing strategies aligned with IACE goals, promote services, initiatives, and events, and ensure culturally appropriate engagement with Indigenous communities.
This role requires local travel and may involve work outside regular hours, including evenings and weekends.
A Bachelor's degree in communications, journalism, or a related field, plus 3 years of experience in:
