As a member of our Communications and Marketing team, you will play an important role in communicating key messages about the wide range of services the Council delivers.
You will help ensure that residents, businesses, partners, and staff are kept informed of the latest Council news, decisions, and policies, and promote all Council services and support.
The role is varied, involving liaising with local and national media, creating internal communications, and managing digital channels including social media.

You will need to work quickly and accurately to support and promote the Council's diverse work. Under the guidance of Senior Communications and Marketing Managers, you will assist with media management and internal communications, and support back-office administration to ensure efficient communication services.
You will have experience in communications, including copywriting, media relations, and social media management. You should be a natural communicator, adaptable across different disciplines and directorates. Creativity, pragmatism, flexibility, and the ability to interpret complex information are essential. You will be supported by a great team but also capable of working independently.
