Job summary

GoFractional is seeking a Communications Officer on a 3-month fixed-term contract in Cumbernauld, Scotland. The role is hybrid with three collaboration days, focusing on translating complex content into engaging materials for internal audiences and stakeholders.

You will manage content across Fizz, social media and the company website, support campaign workstreams, and help deliver major events while strengthening relationships across teams and with charity partners.

Qualifications

• A relevant degree (or equivalent) with at least 2 years' experience in a communications related role.
• Excellent communication skills, both spoken and written.
• Digital savviness and willingness to learn new platforms such as Umbraco, Canva and Vimeo.
• Flexible communication style adaptable to any audience.
• Ability to build strong working relationships across the business.
• Creative mindset with initiative and drive to improve.

Responsibilities

• Identify employee, business and brand content for internal communication and build relationships across the business.
• Translate content into appropriate materials and deliver across channels (e.g., Fizz, videos, newsletters, screens).
• Own and manage the communication workstream for campaigns and projects.
• Develop content for Fizz and manage social media content, including LinkedIn.
• Develop and upkeep the corporate website content in collaboration with colleagues.
• Support Head of Communications with planning and delivery of key events.
• Manage relationships with corporate charity partners and champions to boost engagement.
• Help bring People, Health & Wellbeing and ESG strategies to life.

Communications Officer - 3 month Fixed Term Contract

Location: Cumbernauld, Scotland

Contract and working pattern: 3 month FTC, Hybrid (3 collaboration days)

Your responsibilities will include...

• Building strong relationships and contacts across the business to allow the identification of employee, business and brand content for onward employee communication.
• Simplifying and 'translating' this content into appropriate material and delivering it across the business, choosing the best selection of communication channels e.g. Fizz (our internal communications platform), videos, e-newsletters, digital screens etc.
• Managing communication campaigns and channels for specific projects across different business teams, participating in meetings as the subject matter expert and advising teams of the best approach to communication. Effectively 'owning' the communication workstream.
• Responsible for the content creation and community management of Fizz (our internal communications platform), to engage and inform our people
• Creating engaging social media content and managing the upkeep of sites including Linkedin.
• Responsible for the development of our corporate website, as well as its content and upkeep, co-ordinating with colleagues to ensure it reflects the business and website best practice.
• Supporting the Head of Communications with the planning and delivery of key events across the business (e.g. Barr Live, Leadership events and brand events)
• Managing the day-to-day relationship with our corporate charity partners and our business-wide Charity Champions, to encourage employee engagement across all sites.
• Playing a key role in bringing our People, Health & Wellbeing, and ESG strategies to life.

What you'll bring...

• A relevant degree (or equivalent) with at least 2 years' experience in a communications related role.
• Excellent communication skills, both spoken and written - you'll notice spelling mistakes and mispronunciations!
• Digital savviness coupled with a willingness and capability to learn about new platforms and systems including our website content management software (Umbraco currently) as well as video and design platforms such as Canva and Vimeo.
• A flexible communication style that can be adapted to suit any audience.
• An ability to build and develop great working relationships with a wide range of employees.
