PPL is seeking a Communications Manager for Member & Employee Communications in Soho, London. This hybrid role blends strategic planning with hands-on delivery to improve member and employee experiences. You will craft clear stories, manage campaigns and partner with stakeholders to align communications with organisational priorities.
You will lead on internal and external messaging, support change initiatives, and help build a trusted communications function across the organisation.
Location: Soho, London (Hybrid – minimum 3 days in the office)
Are you a creative communicator who can turn complex information into clear, engaging stories that inspire action? If you value integrity, responsibility and inclusive teamwork and would relish the opportunity to improve the experience of both members and employees you’ll fit right in.
PPL is the UK music licensing organisation for over 150,000 performer and recording rightsholder members. Our purpose is to ensure that our members’ talent and investment is fairly rewarded when their recorded music is played. The Communications team shapes PPL’s voice and helps bring our purpose to life. We build PPL’s external profile, create clear and valuable communications for our members, and support a positive internal culture where employees feel informed, connected and engaged.
At PPL, improving the experience of our members and our employees sits at the heart of everything we do. As Communications Manager, you’ll work with the Senior People Communications Manager and stakeholders across the organisation to plan and deliver clear and inclusive audience‑led communications that support PPL’s priorities, employee and member experience ambitions. Acting as a trusted communications partner, you’ll combine strategic thinking with hands‑on delivery, shaping messages, advising stakeholders, managing priorities and using insight to strengthen results.
We’re looking for an audience‑led, inclusive and trusted communicator who combines curiosity and creativity with sound judgement. You’ll be collaborative, organised and adaptable, with the confidence to take ownership, build strong relationships and make complex information clear, relevant and easy to act on.
When you join us at PPL, you’ll become part of a community united by a love for music and a mission to make a difference by championing music rights.

Doing that heavy lifting are over 200 employees with a shared passion for music, who work hard behind the lights and sounds of the music industry on behalf of the many thousands of performers and record companies PPL represents.
