City in the Community is seeking a Communications Coordinator in Manchester to tell our story through engaging digital content. You will source stories, create content for social media and our website, and support the communications strategy with the team.
You will use Adobe tools to produce assets, maintain content calendars, assist monthly reporting, and help deliver a youth-led digital approach across Greater Manchester, with travel as needed.

This Communications Coordinator role is an opportunity to help tell the story of City in the Community through engaging digital content. Working closely with the Communications Officer and wider marketing team, you will source, create and schedule multimedia content that showcases our impact, strengthens our reach and helps bring our work to life for audiences across Manchester.
Established in 1986, City in the Community is Manchester City's official charity. We support people across Manchester by empowering healthier lives through football. Our programmes place physical and mental wellbeing at their core, whilst also creating healthy futures and healthy communities.
Our Communications and Engagement team plays a key role in sharing the charity's story, connecting people to our purpose and helping ensure our work is visible, relevant and impactful. Through creative content, digital campaigns and collaboration across the charity, we help celebrate the difference City in the Community makes every day.
You will play an important part in the delivery of City in the Community's communications and digital content, with a particular focus on videography and editorial. Day to day, you will source compelling stories and case studies, create engaging content for our digital channels and help ensure our social media and website reflect the breadth and impact of our work.
Working closely with the Communications Officer, you will maintain content planning systems, support monthly reporting and help shape a strategic, youth-led approach to digital communications. You will also be expected to respond positively to emerging priorities and use your own initiative where suitable to spot opportunities, apply creative thinking, keep content moving and support the wider communications strategy.
Alongside digital content creation, you will use Adobe templates to produce graphic design assets for social media and printed materials, support the internal charity newsletter and collaborate with the Marketing team to maximise the reach of content across Manchester City platforms. This is a varied role that requires creativity, organisation and a confident, proactive approach.
You will also help ensure that City in the Community and CFG policies and procedures are followed, with safeguarding embedded to the highest standard across the team. The role includes working across Greater Manchester, so a full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle are required.
