Job summary

Girlguiding in London is seeking a Communications Coordinator on a fixed-term contract (end date 06/03/2027). Hybrid working with 35 hours per week and a location allowance of £3,500 per year is provided. You will support a range of teams including internal communications, PR and external affairs.

The role requires excellent organisational and communication skills, with the ability to manage tight deadlines and travel when required. Evening or weekend work may be needed with time off in lieu.

Job summary: We're looking for a communications coordinator to join our corporate communications team. They will support the communications, marketing and fundraising directorate to ensure the smooth and efficient running of directorate projects and processes, including monitoring and evaluation and providing logistical support for a range of events, campaigns and projects.

In this role, you'll support a number of different teams, including internal communications, PR, social media and external affairs. You'll need to have excellent organisational skills, including managing a varied and busy workload to tight deadlines and the ability to use initiative and adapt to changing priorities. The successful candidate will have experience in working in a communications role and have excellent communication skills, including preparing copy for different audiences.

The post requires working outside of 9-5 office hours, such as evenings and occasionally weekends, and to travel to other locations as necessary, for which time off in lieu and an allowance will be given.
