Job summary

BASC is seeking a communications executive to shape and execute content strategies from a home-based location, with occasional travel to the head office. You will work with the head of digital content and internal comms to identify opportunities to boost BASC’s visibility and ensure key messages reach target audiences.

Responsibilities include developing engaging content for multiple channels, maintaining brand consistency, and supporting PR campaigns.

Qualifications

• Degree or professional qualification in communications, public relations or a related field.
• Proven experience in a communications role with a strong portfolio of content and campaign delivery.
• Demonstrable experience of social media management, including planning, publishing, community engagement and performance reporting.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Confidence producing digital content assets (e.g. graphics, short-form video editing).
• Proficiency with social media management and analytics tools.

Responsibilities

• Sourcing, producing and delivering content across BASC channels for maximum engagement.
• Developing training and interchangeable skills to operate across all media channels.
• Assist in delivering the association’s communications strategy across online and offline media.
• Create engaging content for press releases, blogs, podcasts, social updates and newsletters.
• Cultivate relationships with journalists, bloggers and media outlets.
• Manage and grow BASC social media accounts and monitor trends.
