We’re now looking for a visionary and dynamic Strategic Communications and Marketing Lead.

So what will you be doing?
  • Work with clients to understand their communications needs and offer strategic advice on media relations and public positioning.
  • Workshop and present campaign strategies, progress, and results to senior stakeholders in client organisations.
  • Build long-term client relationships by consistently delivering exceptional results and insights.
  • Design, develop and lead high-level, multi-channel communications campaigns for international clients that achieve measurable goals like increased fundraising and profile awareness.
  • Identify key messages and positioning to effectively communicate clients' objectives to global audiences.
  • Oversee the execution of campaigns from inception to completion, evaluating impact and optimising performance.
Team collaboration
  • Work as part of a team of communications professionals, ensuring high performance and development of skills.
  • Coordinate with internal teams, including content creators, translators, and designers, to deliver integrated communications solutions.
Sales and Marketing
  • Develop and maintain sales campaigns and pipelines for our software packages.
  • Help us to sell ourselves, generating more Leads and more work from our existing clients.
Media relations & placement
  • Ability to cultivate relationships with key journalists, editors, and influencers in top-tier global and regional media outlets, including traditional print, broadcast, and digital platforms.
  • Develop media outreach strategies to secure coverage in influential publications and platforms relevant to clients' industries.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for media inquiries, ensuring accurate and effective communication on behalf of clients.
What we need from you

  • A proven ability to help clients raise money.
  • A passion for international relations, development, and global media landscapes.
  • Brilliant English written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent organisational skills.
  • Proficiency in using web and social media analytics.
  • The ability to spot interesting stories or opportunities and quickly turn them into engaging content for our audience.
Nice to have
  • Experience in the not-for-profit/NGO/development sector or a strong desire to work in this sector and a clear understanding of its challenges.
  • Agency experience, preferably of working with senior decision makers in Government or the private sector.
  • Media planning/buying experience.
  • Social media management.
