Job summary

PetroChina International (London) Ltd invites applications for a Settlements Payments Analyst in London. The role contributes to the Finance function, handling end-to-end payments for PITL and PCIL, including commodity trading costs and accounts payable, with strong SAP payment process knowledge.

The successful candidate will manage reconciliations, cash allocations, and reporting, collaborating across internal teams.

Qualifications

• Degree in Finance/Banking/Commercial or equivalent preferred
• Proven experience in managing high-volume payment processes
• Excellent working knowledge of SAP and its payment functionalities
• Strong grasp of accounting terminology, accounts payable, and financial controls
• High attention to detail and strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; a strong team player
• Able to work under pressure, prioritise tasks effectively, and meet tight deadlines

Responsibilities

• Manage and own end-to-end payments lifecycle for PITL and PCIL, ensuring accuracy and timely execution
• Execute and oversee all payments related to commodity trading activities and related costs
• Maintain knowledge of SAP payment processes and ensure compliance with controls
• Ensure accurate cash allocation for accounts receivable in SAP and resolve issues with stakeholders
• Perform daily reconciliations between SAP and bank reports and resolve discrepancies
• Monitor payment status across systems to ensure process integrity
• Prepare and deliver monthly payment reconciliations and other analytical reports
• Circulate AR/AP outstanding reports and support overdue follow-ups
• Undertake additional tasks and projects as assigned by the Manager
