PetroChina International (London) Ltd is seeking a Settlements Payments Analyst to join the Finance team for a 12-month fixed term contract in London. You will own end-to-end payments for PITL and PCIL, ensuring accuracy and timely processing in SAP.

The role requires strong SAP payments knowledge, high-volume processing experience, and solid accounting terminology understanding. You will interact with internal stakeholders and maintain controls, reconciliations and monthly payment reports.

Qualifications

• Degree in Finance/Banking/Commercial or equivalent preferred.
• Proven experience in managing high-volume payment processes, ideally within a commodities or trading environment.
• Excellent working knowledge of SAP and its payment functionalities.
• Strong grasp of accounting terminology, accounts payable, and financial controls.
• High attention to detail and strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; a strong team player with the ability to build relationships across departments.
• Able to work under pressure, prioritise tasks effectively, and meet tight deadlines.

Responsabilités

• Manage end-to-end payments lifecycle for PITL and PCIL, ensuring accuracy and timely execution.
• Execute payments related to commodity trading activities, including freight, inspection, storage, demurrage, and related costs.
• Maintain knowledge of SAP payment processes and ensure compliance with internal controls.
• Ensure accurate cash allocation for accounts receivable across SAP company codes.
• Perform daily reconciliations between SAP and bank reports and resolve discrepancies.
• Monitor and update payment status across internal systems for end-to-end process integrity.
• Prepare and deliver monthly payment reconciliation reports and other analytical reports.
• Circulate AR/AP outstanding reports and support follow-up on overdue balances.
• Undertake additional tasks and projects as assigned by the Manager.
