Job summary

The British Dental Association (BDA) is seeking a Committee Officer in Stirling, Scotland. This full-time, 32-hour week post provides committee secretariat support and contributes to healthcare policy development and dissemination for members in Scotland.

The BDA is the voice of dentists and dental students in the UK. We are the trade union, professional association and scientific society for dentists. About the role

The post combines maintaining an understanding of and an interest in dentistry and oral health issues, with professional and high-quality committee secretariat skills, the ability to communicate effectively and a desire to provide high-quality service to BDA members in Scotland. The purpose of the role is to provide secretariat support to committees in Scotland, support the National Director in the efficient development and dissemination of healthcare policy and communication with various stakeholders.

This is a full-time permanent position. We anticipate a hybrid approach to working location, with a home working base, alongside attendance at our flexible office space in Stirling, as and when required. There will be occasional requirements to travel to within Scotland to attend face to face meetings and events.

  • A knowledge of, and interest in, healthcare systems and policy development.
