Primary Responsibilities

The primary objective of our Commissioning Managers is to ensure that the processes involved in commissioning engineering services systems are diligently and accurately planned, managed, executed, and recorded.

  • Deliver commitments to clients on time, with the required level of detail and quality.
  • Utilize the company’s management systems to achieve the primary objective.
  • Provide consultative advice on commissioning and performance requirements, strategies, programs, scopes of work, etc.
  • Proactively progress commissioning activities throughout the project cycle in collaboration with the General Contractor and Vendors.
Additional Expectations
  • Engage with other team members to improve systems and procedures.
  • Act as a Champion in a specific technical area.
  • Promote the company and group through marketing activities.
Key Responsibilities
  • Always work safely, complying with health and safety policies.
  • Work diligently, efficiently, and professionally.
  • Ensure technical compliance and high-quality deliverables.
  • Collaborate with clients and contractors to develop commissioning strategies aligned with project goals.
  • Adopt and implement company management systems to ensure full commissioning of building services.
  • Monitor project finances and control expenditures.
  • Attend meetings and prepare detailed reports.
  • Develop project-specific commissioning documents and procedures.
  • Review drawings, manuals, and technical submittals.
  • Create method statements, test scripts, and report on project scope changes.
  • Evaluate project progress, difficulties, and costs with the team.
General Duties
  • Prepare test instrumentation and support tender development.
  • Complete timesheets accurately weekly.
  • Support colleagues proactively in their work.
Preferred Skills and Experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or equivalent; significant project management experience; professional memberships (e.g., CIBSE, ASHRAE) are advantageous.
  • Minimum 5 years' experience in project or commissioning management within building services.
  • Strong communication skills, client-focused, adaptable, and resilient.
  • Self-motivated, professional, and committed to continuous improvement.
  • Willing to work flexible hours and travel as needed.
  • Team-oriented, capable of working independently, and skilled in relationship building.
  • Excellent planning, attention to detail, and decision-making skills.
Required Qualifications
  • Willing to travel to site locations.
  • Experienced engineer, licensed PE or skilled technician with comprehensive understanding of MEP systems, HVAC controls, etc.
  • Proficient with MS Office, Excel, Word, Outlook, and Project.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Knowledge of design document organization and project delivery.
  • Understanding of construction practices, systems engineering, and project financials.
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks effectively.
