KBR supports the hydrocarbon and government services markets across six continents. Serving their customers through diverse business units, KBR offers challenging assignments on some of the world's largest and most complex projects.

They have a need for a Commissioning Manager on an LNG FEED Project for an initial 12-month contract role, with an immediate start and a target limited company rate of circa £70.00 per hour.

The role will be based at the KBR Offices in Leatherhead, working 5 days a week. Hybrid working may be possible.

The role is likely outside IR35, but the final decision will be made after a Qdos assessment.

Job Description

1. Responsible for providing engineering technical advice on start-up and plant operations activities, including equipment and system checkout, inspection for proper installation, review for correct design, and calculation of expected system and equipment operating parameters under temporary start-up conditions.
2. Assists with advice on the coordination of start-up operations, including the direction of craft, and all other start-up activities such as flushing, chemical cleaning, and initial equipment and system operation.
3. Coordinates performance tests, calculations, test results, and heat balances.
4. Performs calculations required to evaluate design changes and provides engineering reports to assist in design change preparation.
5. Under broad direction, interprets, organizes, executes, and coordinates assignments.
6. Applies advanced theories, concepts, principles, and processes for an assigned area of responsibility, such as a function or product.
7. This role contributes directly to value creation.
8. Skills are typically acquired through an undergraduate degree in Engineering and a minimum of 10 years of related experience, with an average of 20+ years of experience.
