Our client is seeking an experienced Commissioning Engineer to support the testing, commissioning, and handover of Integrated Security Systems (ISS) across critical National Grid infrastructure projects, including HVDC converter stations.
This role will focus heavily on commissioning complex electronic security systems within live operational environments, working alongside principal contractors, technology providers, and National Grid stakeholders to ensure successful project delivery.
Candidates should demonstrate experience with some or all of the following systems:
Strong fault-finding and problem-solving capability. Excellent communication skills. Comfortable working independently across multiple sites. Client-facing and professional. Strong focus on quality, safety, and project delivery.
We are particularly interested in Commissioning Engineers who have previously commissioned Genetec-based security solutions on National Grid, utility, transmission, energy, oil & gas, or other critical national infrastructure projects. Candidates with experience delivering security systems through FAT, SAT, integration testing, and handover stages will be highly desirable. This aligns closely with experience gained on National Grid ISS security programmes involving systems such as Genetec, Gallagher, Axis, Commend, Synectics, and other integrated security technologies.
