Job summary

Water Ltd is seeking an experienced Commissioning Engineer to deliver new and replacement PLC/HMI installations across its UK client base in the Water Utility sector. The role requires hands-on telemetry, signal testing and leading commissioning activities on site, with responsibility for project testing, FAT/SAT, and software modifications to snag lists.

You will work in a hybrid setup (office, home and UK sites), travel as needed with a full UK driving license, and contribute to the full

Qualifications

• Experience with Mitsubishi GX Works 3 and GT Designer 3, and Allen-Bradley Studio 5000/RSView.
• Ability to read electrical diagrams and work from them.
• Full UK driving license and willingness to travel/stay away for short periods.
• Knowledge of process control in Water & Wastewater is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Deliver new and replacement PLC/HMI installations across the UK client base in the Water Utility sector.
• Lead commissioning activities on site and manage telemetry works and signal testing.
• Own project testing including FAT/SAT and make software modifications to snag lists.
• Contribute to the full project lifecycle from process design to final handover.

Job Description

We are working with a system integrator to recruit an experienced Commissioning Engineer to deliver new and replacement PLC/HMI installations across their major UK client base in the Water Utility sector. The ideal candidate will have strong hands‑on experience with telemetry works, signal testing, and leading commissioning activities on site. As part of the role, you'll take ownership of project testing, carrying out internal and client software testing (FAT/SAT), configuring intelligent MCC components, and executing software modifications to snag lists. There is also the scope to get involved in the full project lifecycle, from process design and documentation through to final handover.

Requirements

• Mitsubishi (GX Works 3, GT Designer 3) and Allen‑Bradley (Studio 5000, RSView) experience
• A solid electrical background with the ability to read electrical diagrams
• A full UK driving license and the ability to work away from home for short periods
• Knowledge of process control within the Water & Wastewater industry (advantageous)
