Job summary

TALENTOMETRY LIMITED is recruiting a Software Commissioning Engineer for hybrid UK work (office/home/sites). You will deliver PLC/HMI installations, perform telemetry work and lead site commissioning with FAT/SAT testing and software modifications to snag lists.

Occasional travel to client sites is required, with a focus on Water & Wastewater projects. You will work on Mitsubishi GX Works 3, GT Designer 3, Allen-Bradley Studio 5000 and RSView, reading electrical diagrams and integrating MCC

Qualifications

• Solid electrical background with ability to read electrical diagrams.
• Full UK driving licence and ability to work away from home for short periods.
• Knowledge of process control within Water & Wastewater industry (advantageous).

Responsibilities

• Take ownership of project testing and FAT/SAT for client installations.
• Configure intelligent MCC components and implement software modifications to snag lists.
• Support full project lifecycle from process design and documentation through to final handover.
• Deliver commissioning across major UK client sites in Water Utility sector.

Software Commissioning Engineer

Industry: Water & Wastewater

Tech: PLC, SCADA, HMI: Mitsubishi (GX Works 3), Allen-Bradley (Studio 5000)

Location: Hybrid (Office, Home & UK Sites)

Offer: up to £40k + Pension & Death in Service

We are working with a system integrator to recruit an experienced Commissioning Engineer to deliver new and replacement PLC/HMI installations across their major UK client base in the Water Utility sector.

The ideal candidate will have strong hands‑on experience with telemetry works, signal testing, and leading commissioning activities on site.

As part of the role, you’ll take ownership of project testing, carrying out internal and client software testing (FAT/SAT), configuring intelligent MCC components, and executing software modifications to snag lists. There is also the scope to get involved in the full project lifecycle, from process design and documentation through to final handover.

Qualifications

• Mitsubishi (GX Works 3, GT Designer 3) and Allen‑Bradley (Studio 5000, RSView) experience
• A solid electrical background with the ability to read electrical diagrams
• A full UK driving licence and the ability to work away from home for short periods
• Knowledge of process control within the Water & Wastewater industry (advantageous)
