Working within the Commissioning Team to Commission and Test Azenta Automated Stores.
Based in Irlam, Manchester with international travel
Commissioning is the meeting point of design, build and software, as well as the point of testing a complete system. It is the responsibility of Commissioning to pull these disciplines together and deliver a completed product to our customers.
Working with and alongside the engineering team to ensure the latest engineering designs and techniques are implemented. Working with the Project Managers to ensure we deliver the projects on time and within budget.
Commissioning Engineers need to work as a team, within the larger Azenta Team, and be able to work alone on Customers sites.
What You'll Be Doing
Set up and commission of instruments and complete stores, in Manchester, to carry out CFAT.
Commission of complete stores on customer sites, to carry out SAT.
Maintain regular communication with the Team, and complete daily status reports for ‘on site’ projects.
Complete Quality reports as required.
Ensure safe working practices are employed, ensuring personal safety and the safety of others working around moving equipment.
Technical:
Install our inhouse software and configure a LAN.
Configure Serial connections to instruments.
Set up and configure a Fieldbus network, to control all the drives.
Set up a CCTV network, to see the instruments and the store Robot.
Configure the Safety circuits in the Store.
Low level test of Robots and Instruments in isolation.
High level test with customers.
What You’ll Bring
Qualified to minimum HND, in a relevant Engineering discipline, preferably Electrical.
Experience in automation, commissioning, and/or service.
Experience of PLC, Fieldbus network, LAN, drives and controls.
Experience in fault-finding, both mechanical and electrical.
Competent in Microsoft based software.
Experience of SAT, IQOQ and GMP procedures.
Must possess excellent communication skills and the ability to interface effectively with customers and peers.
An ability to resolve problems and make independent decisions based upon the priority of the problem in relation to business needs.
Troubleshooting skills with the ability to determine the root cause of an issue, and the ability to handle problems independently and implement corrective action.
Must be available and willing to travel domestically and internationally as needed.
Must be available to work away from home for prolonged periods of time.
Have a valid driver’s license, good driving record, qualified to obtain a credit card for expenses and able to obtain a valid passport for the term of employment.
Must be proficient with use of PCs and Windows based Operating Systems.
