Commissioning Engineer at Waukesha Bearings

Working for Waukesha Bearings as a Commissioning Engineer, you will be part of a specialist team responsible for the commissioning of new active magnetic bearings installations that we manufacture and for servicing existing installations both remotely and on-site worldwide. Additionally, you will support production testing at our laboratory in Worthing, West Sussex.

For over three decades, Waukesha Magnetic Bearings has applied proven magnetic bearing technology to enhance the performance of rotating equipment. We lead the industry in custom-engineered active magnetic bearing (AMB) systems for large turbomachinery and high-performing rotating equipment, including turbo expanders, multi-stage natural gas compressors, and electrical motors up to 23MW.

What You Will Bring

• HNC/HND in Electrical Engineering or similar
• At least five years of related experience in commissioning automation systems
• Knowledge of European safety standards is beneficial

What You Will Do

• Participate in commissioning worldwide, including subsystem testing prior to site installation
• Engage in servicing and service call-outs globally
• Complete system integration and testing according to company procedures
• Provide documentation for installation and cabinet testing
• Assist with cabinet testing and ensure delivery meets all requirements by the deadline
• Ensure compliance with safety and quality standards per country
• Achieve commissioning targets as agreed with customers
• Maintain professionalism and technical competence when interacting with customers
• Support business objectives and perform additional duties as needed
• Travel up to 50%, including international travel
