Job summary

Fairmont Cheshire, The Mere in Knutsford, England, is seeking a skilled kitchen team member to join our brigade of chefs. You will prepare ingredients, manage mise en place, and execute dishes during service to maintain our 5-star culinary standards.

You will also support the kitchen team to ensure smooth service and strong teamwork across shifts. We value flexibility and multi-skilling; responsibilities may shift to meet guest needs.

Qualifications

• 1-2 years’ experience in the Hospitality Industry.
• Outstanding communication skills, both written & verbal.
• Confident & dynamic speaker, able to interact with all levels.
• Proven organizational skills, works well on their own and meets deadlines.
• Flexible and multi-skilled to cover different tasks as needed.

Responsibilities

• Follow recipes and prepare mise en place to ensure 5-star cuisine quality.
• Share fresh ideas and contribute new recipes to enhance offering.
• Learn and comply with hotel food hygiene and safety policies.
• Keep kitchen clean and organized; manage stock and records.
• Attend kitchen briefings and hotel meetings as requested by leadership.
• Report issues to leadership and look for process improvements.
