Job summary

A commis chef role in Cliveden Manor Care Home, part of the Avery Healthcare Group, assisting the Chef de Partie with food preparation and basic cooking. The position rotates through vegetables, fish, meat and sauces over six months and includes meetings with residents and Heads of Departments to discuss catering functions.

You will also prepare special diets and work to maintain resident choice, dignity and safety, with DBS checks and eligibility to work in the UK required.

Qualifications

• Minimum of one year's catering experience.
• Knowledge of cultural and religious dietary preferences.
• Ability to work across kitchen sections and rotate duties over six months.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Chef de Partie with food preparation and basic cooking tasks.
• Work across kitchen sections including vegetables, fish, meat and sauces on a six-month rotation.
• Support chefs to deliver catering services throughout the home while maintaining resident choice, dignity, confidentiality and safety.
• Address residents' special dietary needs and meetings with residents and Heads of Departments.
