Job summary

Haskins Garden Centres is recruiting a Commis Chef for our Southampton site. This role is 19.25 hours per week, 9:00am to 3:00pm with the option of overtime.

The salary will be pro-rata’d based on the working hours, and overtime opportunities are available to boost earnings. You’ll start behind the scenes, preparing fresh ingredients and supporting food production, before assisting during service at our deli, pizza counter and carvery.

Qualifications

• No previous experience required; training provided.
• Able to work on your own initiative and as part of a close-knit team.
• Willingness to learn and deliver excellent service.
• Confident and sociable with the public.

Responsibilities

• Prepare fresh ingredients and support food production.
• Oversee counter service, the carvery, pizza oven and patisserie counter.
• Deliver outstanding food experiences and engage with customers.
