Job summary

The Mitre in Shaftesbury, part of Young’s Pubs, is seeking a Kitchen Assistant or Commis Chef with flexible hours and a clear path to progress in our career ladder, working with fresh seasonal produce and a welcoming team.

You will join a busy kitchen, contribute to daily prep, maintain high standards of Food Safety and quality, and take part in our apprenticeship scheme and masterclasses to grow your skills.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Commis Chef or Kitchen Porter looking to step up
• Passion for producing quality fresh food in a welcoming environment
• Excellent teamwork and communication skills

Responsibilities

• Be an active hands-on person with a passion to work hard as part of a team
• Have high standards and a great work ethic
• Show willingness to learn new skills; be an active team player with excellent communication skills
• Work alongside your kitchen team; demonstrate creativity and ability by helping to deliver top quality service
