Job summary

Upham Inns is offering a Commis Chef apprenticeship across our premium pubs in Southern England. You will learn by assisting in food preparation, cooking high quality dishes, and preparing vegetables, meats and fish. Training lasts 12 months toward the Commis Chef Level 2 Apprenticeship.

No prior experience is required, and you will receive on‑the‑job training, 30+ hours weekly paid work, 25 days holiday, and employee discounts across pubs and high street shops.

Qualifications

• No experience is necessary; on the job training provided.
• You will be working toward the Commis Chef Level 2 Apprenticeship over 12 months.
• You will receive at least 30 hours of paid work per week and 25 days paid holiday.

Responsibilities

• Assisting in the food preparation process
• Cooking and preparing elements of high quality dishes
• Preparing vegetables, meats and fish
• Assisting other Chefs
• Helping with deliveries and restocking
• Assisting with stock rotation
• Cleaning stations
• Maintaining kitchen and food safety standards
