Job summary

Daish's Holidays is seeking enthusiastic Commis Chefs to join our kitchen teams in the UK. This full-time, year-round role offers hands-on development under our Head Chef and a chance to build a culinary career within a family-run hospitality group.

You'll prepare and help deliver high-quality meals, while following food safety standards and contributing to a supportive kitchen environment. Evening, weekend, and bank holiday shifts are required.

Qualifications

• Previous professional kitchen experience is helpful but isn't essential.
• Enthusiastic about food and keen to develop a career in hospitality.
• Reliable, hardworking and committed to doing a great job.
• Willing to learn and take direction from experienced chefs.
• Able to work efficiently in a busy kitchen.
• Organised and able to manage tasks effectively.
• Comfortable working both independently and as part of a team.
• Committed to maintaining high standards of food hygiene and Health & Safety.
• Flexible and able to work evenings, weekends and bank holidays.

Responsibilities

• Preparing and producing food as directed by the Head Chef.
• Supporting the implementation of menus and helping with new and existing menu creations.
• Helping to maintain variety and quality across our food offering.
• Working alongside the Head Chef to ensure kitchen equipment is maintained and ready for service.
• Supporting daily stock replenishment when required.
• Helping to maintain required food safety records.
• Following food safety, Health & Safety and other company procedures at all times.
• Keeping kitchen areas clean, organised and ready for service.
• Working as part of a supportive kitchen team and assisting with tasks across the department as required.
• Developing your culinary knowledge and skills through hands-on experience and support from the wider kitchen team.
