We have a great development opportunity at The Devonshire Arms Hotel & Spa for a Commis Chef with aspirations to progress with an employer who will support you every step of the way.
You will work a 4 day week.
You will receive discretionary service charge and tips that can increase your hourly rate by up to £1.12 on average. A full time employee will receive around £2,300 per year in tips and service charge alone.
You will work across two kitchens. One being a 3AA Rosette and the other being a 1AA Rosette, you will learn all areas of the kitchen.
Your duties will be varied and will include food preparation, stock control, cleaning and menu input. The role is very hands on and will give the successful candidate exceptional experience within the restaurant business. You will also get the chance to spend some time in the kitchen garden with our in-house Kitchen Gardener.
The Hotel is a 4 AA Red Star property, situated amidst the beautiful Yorkshire Dales on the banks of the River Wharfe with many great road links to the surrounding towns of Skipton, Ilkley and Harrogate as well as many others.

Any formal qualifications such as an apprenticeship or an NVQ in Professional Cookery would be advantageous.
Previous experience is not required as full training will be given.
