Job summary

Young's invites applications for a Commis Chef at St Aldates Tavern in Oxford City Centre, near the high street. You will join a welcoming team, with access to apprenticeship schemes and culinary masterclasses to sharpen skills and progress toward CDP.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Commis Chef or Kitchen Porter is desirable.
• Passion and flair for producing quality fresh food in a welcoming environment.
• Active hands-on person with a good work ethic and high standards.
• Able to work well within a team and communicate effectively.

• Assist kitchen team in delivering top quality service.

What we look for in a Commis Chef:

We are looking for an existing
Commis Chef, an excellent Kitchen Porter or an individual looking for their
next step to their hospitality career, who consider themselves to have a
passion and flare for producing quality fresh food in an environment that makes
people feel welcome. As the successful Commis Chef you will:

• Be an active hands-on person with a passion to
  work hard as part of a team
• Have high standards and a great work ethic
• Show willingness to learn new skills; be an
  active team player with excellent communication skills
• Working alongside your kitchen team; you will be
  able to demonstrate your creativity and ability by helping to deliver top
  quality service
• Demonstrate great planning and organisational
