Job summary

Rick Stein Restaurants in Newquay is looking for a motivated and enthusiastic CommisChef to join our kitchen team. If you’re at the start of your chef career, love working with great ingredients, and want to learn from experienced chefs in a supportive environment, we’d love to hear from you.

You’ll be learning across different kitchen sections, following recipes and safety standards, and helping with stock rotation and general organisation.

Qualifications

• Basic kitchen experience or catering qualification is helpful, but not essential.
• Ability to work under pressure in a busy kitchen.
• Strong attention to detail and pride in your work.

Responsibilities

• Supporting the kitchen team in delivering high-quality dishes consistently.
• Preparing fresh ingredients to specification and high standards.
• Learning and working across different sections of the kitchen.
• Following recipes, food safety, and hygien standards at all times.
• Assisting with stock rotation, deliveries, and general kitchen organisation.
• Working closely with senior chefs to develop your skills and confidence.
