Job summary

JW Lees is recruiting a Commis Chef to join our busy kitchen. You’ll help keep the service smooth and the kitchen clean, support basic food prep, and uphold Health & Safety standards to help us achieve top scores. We encourage learning and progression within a supportive team.

You’ll work in a well-equipped kitchen with opportunities to grow your culinary career through internal and external development programmes.

Responsibilities

• Keep the kitchen running efficiently and spotlessly clean during and after service
• Clean utensils and dishes; assist with general kitchen duties and basic food preparation
• Observe Health & Safety in the kitchen and work with the team to maintain 5* scores on the doors
• Be eager to learn new skills and progress within the role
• Shine and contribute to the team’s success, with support to rise to the top

What a Commish Chef does at JW Lees:

• You’ll play a main part in keeping the kitchen running efficiently and spotlessly clean during and after service
• You'll be responsible for cleaning utensils and dishes along with general kitchen duties and on occasion basic food and ingredients preparation
