Job Description

We’re looking for an enthusiastic and motivated Commis Chef to join the talented kitchen team at Novotel Manchester Centre. Whether you’re starting out in your chef career or looking to build on your experience, this is your chance to learn, grow, and develop your skills in a supportive and dynamic hotel kitchen.

  • Assist in the preparation of dishes according to established recipes and standards
  • Ensure the availability of mise-en-place as required by the kitchen team
  • Maintain excellent food hygiene practices throughout the entire food chain, from storage to preparation and service
  • Collaborate with senior chefs to learn new techniques and improve culinary skills
  • Support the kitchen team in maintaining a clean and organized work environment
  • Assist in inventory management and stock rotation
  • Contribute creative ideas for menu development and food presentation
  • Adapt to changing priorities and handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced kitchen setting
  • Participate in team meetings and training sessions to enhance culinary knowledge and skills

Qualifications
