Job summary

Canary Riverside Plaza London, Vignette Collection by IHG is seeking a passionate Commis Chef to join the team at this luxury property in Canary Wharf. You will support the kitchen in preparing and presenting high-quality dishes while maintaining hygiene and safety standards.

This full-time role is based in London, offering opportunities to learn from senior chefs in a fast-paced environment and to develop culinary skills within a renowned luxury hospitality brand.

Qualifications

• Previous kitchen or hospitality experience is advantageous but not essential.
• Basic food hygiene knowledge required.
• Willingness to learn and develop culinary skills.
• Good teamwork and ability to work under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Support kitchen team in the preparation and delivery of high-quality dishes.

We are looking for someone who can work Full-Time, 40 hours per week.

To be successful in this role, you will be responsible for a range of duties while demonstrating the following skills and experience…

• Supporting the kitchen team in the preparation and delivery of high-quality dishes, ensuring consistency and attention to detail at all times.
• Assisting with basic food preparation tasks, including ingredient preparation, portioning and plating.
• Maintaining a clean, organised and hygienic workstation in line with food safety and health & safety standards.
• Working closely with senior chefs to learn new skills and develop culinary knowledge in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
• Previous experience in a kitchen or hospitality environment would be advantageous but not essential.
• A passion for food and willingness to learn and develop culinary skills.
• Good understanding of basic food hygiene and kitchen safety standards.
• A positive, reliable and team-focused attitude with the ability to work well under pressure.
