Job summary

Heartwood Collection’s The Woodman in Southgate, North London, is recruiting a Commis for its exciting new opening in Jan/Feb 2026. You’ll join a busy kitchen team, follow recipes, prep fresh ingredients, and help deliver high-quality dishes.

We offer structured training, the Stepping Stones development programme, EarlyPay, generous leave and rewards, plus 50% food discounts across Heartwood Inns. Previous service experience and basic knife skills are welcomed.

Qualifications

• Have an interest in great quality food and high standards.
• Be an integral part of the kitchen team, follow recipes and work with others.
• 1-2 years experience in a service setting and basic knife skills and knowledge of prep and fresh food.

Just a stone's throw from Southgate Tube and Grovelands Park, this historic site is undergoing a full refurbishment and stylish Heartwood redesign — plus an exciting new extension to elevate the guest experience.
