Strand Palace in central London is seeking a Commis Chef to join our kitchen and help prepare, cook, and serve dishes while upholding high standards of quality and presentation.

You will work closely with the Chef de Partie to maintain HACCP-compliant food preparation and ensure timely mise-en-place for service. The role supports training, career development, and a range of staff benefits.

Formación

• Experience in hospitality kitchens preferred.
• Ability to work under pressure.
• Good communication with team and guests.

Responsabilidades

• To prepare, cook, and serve food delegated as your responsibility, adhering to the dish specifications, to achieve the correct quality, appearance, and portion size
• Work closely with the section Chef de Partie the ensure the highest possible quality is maintained and standards for food preparation and presentation are met at all times
• Ensure Mis-en-place is done for your delegated section to the agreed schedule and ready for service at the agreed time
• Carry out food labelling/dating and stock rotation to the required standard on a regular basis, and ensure all records are recorded and updated
• Assist with food deliveries and the correct storage in line with HACCP regulations and Hotel standards

What You Will Be Doing
