Job summary

Richmond Village Bede is seeking a Commis Chef to join our care home and restaurant teams. The role is part-time, 28 hours, with shifts between 8:00am and 7:00pm and occasional late shifts until 9:00pm to support events. A DBS check is required and Bupa covers the DBS cost (£40).

You will bring experience from busy kitchens and a passion for delivering high standards across diverse cuisines, contributing to a refined dining experience for residents and guests.

Responsibilities

• Assisting in the preparation and cooking of meals to a high standard
• Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen
• Follow food hygiene and safety regulations at all times
• Support the kitchen team during busy service periods
• Help with stock rotation and storage
• Learn and develop culinary techniques under guidance from senior chefs
• Respond to residents and customers dietary needs and personal preferences
• Open to new ideas, you’ll have an innovative yet organised approach to cooking, always adhering to high standards and remaining calm during a busy service

You’ll help us make health happen by:
