Job summary

The Landmark London is seeking a passionate Commis 1 to join our Kitchen Department on a permanent basis with an immediate start. You will work to consistently deliver memorable moments and five-star service to our guests and colleagues, contributing to a lively, diverse team.

You will be required to work hours as necessary to fulfil duties, with a strong emphasis on quality, efficiency and clean, professional presentation.

Qualifications

• Passionate about delivering five-star service in a kitchen environment.
• Ability to work as part of a team and individually in mise-en-place prep.
• Willingness to work flexible hours as required.

Responsibilities

• To work as an individual and as part of a team by assisting in the preparation of mise-en-place and service for the section/department.
• To take ownership and check mise-en-place levels and quality for the section; complete a mise en place list in order of priority and liaise with supervisor prior to tasks.
• To cook and present food to the correct standard as outlined in the outlet specification manual and per Leading Hotels of the World standards.
• To take ownership of portion control and ensure wastage is minimized; ensure correct stock rotation within the section.
• To provide quick and efficient service at all times.
• To pro-actively attend the morning meeting in Executive chef’s office and communicate key information at the daily section briefing.
• To maintain kitchen cleanliness, care for uniform, appearance and hygiene per hotel policy.

As a Commis 1 , your main duties andexpectations for the role will include:

• To work as an individual and aspart of a team by assisting in the preparation of mise-en-place and service forthe section / department.

• To take ownership for kitchencleanliness at all times. To take care of your uniform, your personalappearance and hygiene in accordance with hotel policy and procedure

You will be required to work such hours as are necessary tofulfil their duties and in any event not less than hours.
