Job summary

Howett Thorpe is seeking a Commercial Finance Manager in Weybridge to take full ownership of the finance function within a growing manufacturing business. This hands-on role reports to the MD and leads a small team, guiding budgeting, forecasting and reporting to support growth.

• Multi company/entity experience
• Sage experience would be beneficial

Responsibilities

• Full preparation and production of monthly management accounts and year-end figures
• Overseeing financial projects aligned with board objectives
• Generate financial data, analyse and assess financial health
• Control and oversight of finance policies and procedures
• Own annual budget, forecasting and financial modelling
• Review monthly depreciation journal and fixed asset register
• Oversee transactional accounting to ensure efficiency
• Prepare monthly sales reports
• Oversee multiple entities and raise queries to management

Commercial Finance Manager – About The Role

In this role you will be reporting into the Managing Director and will be managing a small finance team. This is a full hands-on finance position that requires a diverse finance skillset and someone who is capable of leading a finance function. Your key responsibilities will be:

• Full preparation and production of the monthly managements as well as year-end figures
• Overseeing financial projects, ensuring alignment with board’s objectives
• Generate financial data, analyse and asses the financial health of the company
• Control and oversight on finance policies and procedures
• Full ownership of the annual budget, forecasting and financial modelling activity
• Review monthly depreciation journal and fixed asset register reconciles to the nominal
• Overseeing the transactional accounting function and ensure it is running at full efficiency
• Preparation of monthly sales reports
• Overseeing multiple financial entities and raising any queries to managemen
