Job summary

Howett Thorpe in Weybridge, Surrey, is seeking a Commercial Finance Manager to take full ownership of the finance function and support ambitious growth. This hands-on, office-based role reports to the MD and leads a small finance team.

You will manage monthly close, budgeting, forecasting, and financial modelling across multiple entities, delivering insights to inform strategic decisions and drive performance.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a similar position.
• Experience within a manufacturing organisation is essential.
• QBE or part/fully qualified candidates will be considered.
• Multi company/entity experience.
• Sage experience would be beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Prepare monthly management accounts and year-end figures.
• Oversee financial projects aligned with board objectives.
• Generate, analyse, and report on financial health.
• Maintain policies and procedures in finance.
• Own annual budget, forecasts, and financial modelling.
• Review depreciation and fixed asset registers.
• Oversee transactional accounting for efficiency.
• Prepare monthly sales reports.
• Manage multiple entities and raise queries to management.

Commercial Finance Manager About The Role

In this role you will be reporting into the Managing Director and will be managing a small finance team. This is a full hands-on finance position that requires a diverse finance skillset and someone who is capable of leading a finance function. Your key responsibilities will be:

• Full preparation and production of the monthly managements as well as year-end figures
• Overseeing financial projects, ensuring alignment with board s objectives
• Generate financial data, analyse and asses the financial health of the company
• Control and oversight on finance policies and procedures
• Full ownership of the annual budget, forecasting and financial modelling activity
• Review monthly depreciation journal and fixed asset register reconciles to the nominal
• Overseeing the transactional accounting function and ensure it is running at full efficiency
• Preparation of monthly sales reports
• Overseeing multiple financial entities and raising any queries to managemen

The successful Commercial Finance Manager will have:
