BCP Council is seeking a Commercial Waste Officer to support residents and commercial clients, handling data related to waste management and payments. The role is based in Poole or Bournemouth, with site duties across Recycling Centres, on a rota basis, and a pay rate starting at £31,525 per year.

You will join a small but busy team, focusing on accuracy, data entry across multiple databases, and excellent customer communication as part of the Strategic Development team for Waste and Open Spaces.

The work is varied; and as part of a small but busy team you will be responsible for collating and handling data relating to waste management, including some financial management around billing, invoicing, taking payments and some selling of our commercial waste services. The Ideal CandidateYou will be committed to high standards of accuracy as attention to detail is a must. Use of several databases is required; however full training will be given. As part of the Strategic Development team, which manages Waste and Open Spaces, you'll be committed to improving the environment for our residents and businesses. It would be an advantage to have experience or knowledge of waste disposal, but it is more important that you are an excellent communicator and a strong team player and will fully engage in working towards the Council's purpose and values. an active role in a multi-skilled team and there will be opportunities to develop your own skills and contribute to the direction of the service.
