Job summary

Dennis Eagle is seeking an experienced Commercial Vehicle Workshop Manager | Contract Manager to lead a key fleet maintenance contract in Somerset. You will manage the workshop team, ensure vehicle safety and compliance, and drive performance against contract requirements.

This hands-on role requires strong leadership, stakeholder engagement, and a focus on continuous improvement, cost control, and quality in a busy, customer-facing environment.

Job description

Role: Commercial Vehicle Workshop Manager | Contract Manager

Location: Evercreech, BA4 6NA

Hours: 40 hours per week | between 07:00 and 16:30 Monday to Friday

Salary: up to £50,000pa DOE

We’re looking for an experienced Contract Manager to lead the delivery of a key fleet maintenance contract in Somerset. This is an opportunity to take ownership of operational performance, customer relationships, compliance, and team leadership within a well-established and growing business.

What you’ll be doing

You’ll be responsible for the day-to-day management of the contract, ensuring vehicles are maintained safely, efficiently, and in line with customer expectations and contractual requirements. Key responsibilities include:

• Leading and supporting a workshop-based team to deliver outstanding service.
• Driving vehicle availability, servicing, MOT compliance, and operational performance.
• Building strong relationships with customers, suppliers, and internal stakeholders.
