Job Title: Commercial Vehicle Technician

Salary: Up to £35,000 (depending on experience) + productivity bonus

Working hours: Monday - Friday 8.30am – 4.30pm – 40 hours a week

Our prestigious client's success has been built since 1991 and they are looking for an individual who shows commitment, enthusiasm, drive and can relate to their core values.

They are looking to recruit for a Commercial Vehicle Technician for their Commercial Dealership in Scunthorpe.

This exciting new opportunity will allow you to service and repair commercial vehicles in a safe and economical manner employing your skills and knowledge as may be required, including the ability to diagnose faults with the minimum supervision.

As such they require a self-motivated individual, who is able to use their own initiative to work alongside our existing team in their busy service department.

Responsibilities will include:

1. To observe, recognise and report on vehicle or component defects or symptoms of impending failure.
2. To examine vehicles completely and report orally or in writing upon the vehicles condition, safety and reliability and performance (MOT).
3. To protect all vehicles under repair against damage and to inspect each vehicle for damage and cleanliness upon completion of repair.
4. To attend recognised courses of instruction as and when required and to assist in the training of apprentices upon assignment.
5. To always seek permission before fitting parts to customers vehicles that have not been previously authorised and to return parts for warranty and customer inspection at all times.
6. To ensure all service and maintenance sheets, customer defect reports, manufacturer paperwork and electronic documentation, e.g. PDI sheets are fully completed and signed off.

Requirements

The Ideal candidate will:

1. Level 3 recognised qualification in Light Vehicle Maintenance, they can consider someone with Level 2 if they have good experience.
2. Experience in diagnostics and using computers.
3. A full, UK driving licence.
4. A positive, right first time attitude.
5. A strong team player mentality.
6. The ability to work to a very high standard.
