Job description

Commercial Vehicle Technician needed in North London Paying £36,567 per annum ref 1281698

Full time hours on a permanent basis

Transport Services manages the maintenance and repair of the vehicle fleet/plant/equipment, in accordance with legal regulations, hire company’s and manufacturers’ standards and targets. The Commercial Vehicle Technician (Level 3) role is to support the Workshop Manager by undertaking the maintenance of the fleet, including third party and plant maintenance, ensuring that processes are carried out effectively to meet the service obligations including legislative and health safety, in a timely and cost-effective manner.

Responsibilities:

1. Undertake maintenance of the fleet including third party and plant maintenance.
2. Ensure compliance with legal regulations and manufacturers’ standards.
3. Support the Workshop Manager in achieving maintenance targets.
4. Maintain courteous and helpful interactions while representing the Council.
5. Be flexible to work in shifts as required by the needs of the service.

Minimum Requirements:

1. City and Guilds and IMI qualifications.
2. Experience of maintaining commercial LGV and plant.
3. Experience of maintaining Mercedes and Dennis vehicles and buses.
4. Up to date MOT test qualification.
5. Ability to drive a class 2 vehicle.
