Job summary

Exeter Chiefs is seeking a Commercial Sales Executive to join the team at Sandy Park. You will drive sponsorship activity, handle sales calls and prospecting, and contribute to the commercial strategy in a fast-paced sports environment.

Given the on-site role, you will work 9:00–17:30 Mon-Fri with some weekend work on match days and time off in lieu. A strong communicator with a passion for sport will thrive here.

Responsibilities

• Source new business leads through networking, prospecting and calls.
• Work on match days as required.

• Assist in renewing sponsors and hospitality guests.
• Keep up to date with commercial deals in sport, especially in the South West.
• Support events and corporate hospitality bookings.
• Assist production of matchday documents.

Working hours: Monday to Friday, 9:00 - 17:30, on site plus match days

Salary: £28K plus commission with an OTE of £45K

We are looking for a commercial sales executive to join our team.

This is a rare and exciting opportunity to join the Exeter Chiefs and support their commercial team at Sandy Park. As someone with an interest in professional sport and excellent communication skills, you will have the opportunity to gain experience in a highly dynamic environment working alongside an ambitious and hardworking team. You will support with all aspects of day-to-day tasks, including prospecting, sales calls, benchmarking, sponsor analysis, and commercial reporting working under the supervision of the head of corporate sales.

This role is full-time. Your hours will be 9:00 to 17:30 Mon-Fri plus some weekend work on match days which will accrue time off in lieu.

Your main responsibilities will include:

• Helping to source new business leads for Exeter Rugby Club through networking, prospecting and sales calls.
• Work during matchdays where required
• Assisting the commercial team in activating sponsorship agreements - this could include arranging player appearances
• Creating and updating social stats for all players to be used as part of the sales proposition
• Assisting in the renewal of existing sponsors and hospitality guests
• Making sure you keep up to date with commercial deals in sport, especially in the South West
• Supporting the commercial team with any business/sponsor events
• Helping with the corporate hospitality bookings
• Assisting with the production of any matchday documents

You may need to undertake other duties as they arise.
